Get lost in the magic of this exquisite Boulder Opal necklace.

It is not very often that I have been able to cut and make available such a beautiful Opal.  I have designed this as a centre piece.  It is delicate, graceful and unique.  The blues pinks greens yellows and all the other cotton candy colours are here in this forever piece.

Highlighted with green, pink and blue sapphires and a sparkling Colombian emerald onion briolette.

I have used sterling silver and 18k yellow gold to make this necklace.  My chain is hand made with a combination of sterling silver and 18k gold for the middle jump rings.  It has the perfect look that compliments but does not overpower the Opal setting.

I shaped the back of the Opal into a dome with an open back setting so you can see and feel the smooth rich iron stone of the host rock.

Finished in a brushed satin.

Opal TCW: 9.76

Emerald TCW: 1.3

Length of chain:  17 inches

I am lucky enough to be able to cut my own stones as well as create and present to you my  original works. Each piece is put together with the passion I have for making jewellery. Please be aware that these Opals may have natural pits and markings. They are as nature intended I have only cut, shaped and polished, I have not even tried to remove any imperfections.

If you've never had a little bit of Australia how better to start than with a collectible piece. Or you may be in love with Opals like me and can't help but add to your collection.

Frequently asked question:  Can my Opal go in water?

All Australian Opals CAN go into water.  They are not porous.  Australian Opal are the most durable of all the Opals.  Please don't confuse other Opal with Australian Opal.  The only time you need to be careful of submerging Australian Opal in water is when they are doublets and triplets because of the glue used to hold the slice of Opal onto the backing.  Anyone who sells doublets or triplets should give you full disclosure.  All my Opals are solid and will not change or alter in water. Guaranteed!!

*all photos are taken by me on my iPhone. Sunlight and direct light is the best way to see the beauty and intensity of colour in an Opal.
